This weeks edition of Throwback Thursday is the design that started it all, the 2007/08 Havoline Racing Ford Falcon driven by Angus Fogg. The first car to appear with a “Granger Design” livery applied to it, Angus went on to finish second in the Championship.
Today’s concept is based on the Team BOC livery for 2014, i’m not a fan at all of their current style (below), the BOC branding losing the well known stripes that always precede it, in favour of a whopping great big BOC logo. A livery based off the concept I had done for a John Deere sponsored V8 Supercar of Nick Percat earlier in the year is now applied to a VZ Commodore run by Holden Racing UK. Throw Back Thursday this week is a look at one of the most popular pieces I’ve produced, the Michael Pickens Monster Energy Sprintcar. This was done when I was producing 3D work for various clients, and this was just a bit of a test of the software. Pickens was really on the rise back in 2010, and rumours of his switch to sprintcars were coming about, put this together in the Monster Energy colours and people seemed to love it!
